Digital assistive technologies, particularly mobile-based ATs, have the potential to be a valuable and cost-effective tool for persons with disabilities. To realise this opportunity there is a need for locally relevant digital ATs which meet the range of needs of persons with disabilities. This report looks at the current state of innovation in digital ATs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and the experiences from innovators from Africa and Asia working in this space.
