Some fungal, protozoal, and helminthic infestations are exclusively seen in tropical regions. Endemic pemphigus and few nutritional deficiencies account for majority of noninfectious tropical dermatoses. Basically, the climatic conditions and inhabiting human’s culture and behavior are the chief attributable factors in acquiring and perpetuation of these diseases. Besides, migration and/or tourism further augment the risk of dissemination of tropical skin diseases to other regions of the world.
