Zoonotic illnesses pose a serious threat to public health around the world because they can be spread from animals to people. It cannot be emphasized enough how crucial it is to educate laypeople and the general public about these illnesses. The danger of transmission and epidemics is decreased when people are empowered to identify, stop, and react to zoonotic risks through effective education. Good hygiene, safe animal handling techniques, and early symptom detection are the main goals of awareness campaigns since they are essential for prompt medical attention. Understanding the One Health approach, which links the health of humans, animals, and the environment, also promotes ethical conduct that is advantageous to both individuals and communities. We can enhance preventive measures, lessen the stigma associated with zoonotic diseases, and support larger public health initiatives to control and eradicate these illnesses by cultivating an informed population. Therefore, raising awareness and providing training are essential for safeguarding public health and people's safety in both urban and rural areas.
