The International Alliance for the Control of scabies (IACS) is a global initiative, established as a collaborative venture, that has drawn in participants from many different backgrounds including clinicians, molecular scientists, entomologists and epidemiologists/public health experts, with the common objective to foster research, treatment and diagnosis, and to control and, where possible, eliminate infestations caused by Sarcoptes scabiei.
