Disrupting Disease: The Next Generation of Health Leaders Fighting
About the event
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) continue to affect over 1.6 billion people worldwide, including 39% of Africa’s population with Kenya being one of the most burdened countries. Diseases such as schistosomiasis, trachoma, and soil-transmitted helminths are silently affecting millions, especially in underserved rural communities.
Despite their devastating health and socio-economic impact, NTDs remain largely neglected in global health discourse and funding. However, the next generation of health leaders is stepping up to lead the charge toward elimination.
