About the event
The International Conference on Economic Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities is jointly organised by the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD) and the PENDA programme at the International Centre for Evidence in Disability (ICED), London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
This conference will bring together academics and practitioners working on disability and economic inclusion, as well as people with disabilities and their representative organisations, policymakers, and donors. The purpose of the event is to:
- Share cutting-edge evidence and good practices on “what works” to improve economic inclusion for persons with disabilities (e.g., reducing poverty, improving access to education, and decent work)
- Advance cross-sector collaboration to accelerate effective policy, research, and programmatic action in economic inclusion for persons with disabilities.
