Mentees Call for Application - Mwele Malecela Mentorship (MMM) Programme for Women in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) Cohort IV

Overview

The Mwele Malecela Mentorship (MMM) Programme for Women in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)  aims to advance gender equality in representation and leadership by developing and supporting mid-career African women to become leaders and champions for the elimination of NTDs at national and international levels. 

  1. Application for Mentees

Apply before Tuesday, 11 August 2026 by 23:59 pm (UTC+1).

Eligibility criteria 

  1. Identify as a woman. 

  2. Work in a role that focuses on Neglected Tropical Diseases, including public health policy, research or program interventions at sub-national, national or international levels.   

  3. Possess 10 to 20 years of professional experience in public health, with at least 10 years specifically in Neglected Tropical Diseases. 

  4. Reside and work within the WHO Africa region (one of the countries listed here). 

  5. Must be a national of one of the WHO Africa Regional countries. 

Selection Process 

The mentee selection process will take place in two stages: 

  • Stage 1 - Eligibility assessment: Background information and CV.

  • Stage 2 - Exploration of interests and mentee’s experience.
