Overview

The Mwele Malecela Mentorship (MMM) Programme for Women in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)  aims to advance gender equality in representation and leadership by developing and supporting mid-career African women to become leaders and champions for the elimination of NTDs at national and international levels.

Application, Notification and onboarding trimline 

• Application Period: Application period closes on 22 September 2026by 23:59 pm (UTC+1).
• Final selection notification: Applicants will be informed of their final application status by 16 November 2026.  
• Acceptance and Pre-Orientation Period: The accepted mentors will be requested to confirm their participation by early December 2026. Following confirmation, mentor matching and onboarding will commence, with mentors informed of their matches by end of December 2026.
• Programme Launch: Orientation will commence the week of 11 January 2027.
