Interactive database on Neglected Tropical Diseases - Country Profiles

This interactive data visualization tool illustrates the progress of WHO Member States, territories and areas towards control, elimination and eradication of NTDs.

Country profiles are divided into five sections containing:

  • general information about the country, endemicity and programmatic status of all NTDs, integration and mainstreaming of NTDs;
  • status of progress against overarching and cross-cutting targets for NTDs;
  • burden of NTDs including cases, deaths and DALYs;
  • prevention, treatment and care provided to people requiring interventions against NTDs; and
  • donated medicines provided to countries through WHO.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has published three online resources to strengthen implementation of programmes for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) at country level: an interactive dashboard, an online training course, and a mobile application.

Interactive dashboard – NTD country profiles

This interactive data visualization tool illustrates the progress of WHO Member States, territories and areas towards control, elimination and eradication of NTDs.

Country profiles are divided into five sections containing:

  • general information about the country, endemicity and programmatic status of all NTDs, integration and mainstreaming of NTDs;
  • status of progress against overarching and cross-cutting targets for NTDs;
  • burden of NTDs including cases, deaths and DALYs;
  • prevention, treatment and care provided to people requiring interventions against NTDs; and
  • donated medicines provided to countries through WHO.

The dashboard includes information spanning from 1980 to date.

The dashboard complements the NTD road map tracker, another WHO interactive data visualization tool for tracking progress towards implementation of the NTD road map 2021–2030. It includes maps, charts and progress bars for the four overarching indicators and selected cross-cutting indicator.
