Differential Diagnosis of Buruli Ulcer

Abstract

Although the disease is named “Buruli ulcer,” there are also clinical manifestations without ulceration. Depending on the various clinical presentations, differential diagnoses are described. They are partly worldwide and partly geographically restricted occurring. For the most part, they are of infectious origin. In addition, unusual clinical forms that can induce misdiagnosis are mentioned.
