Treating the Patient, Not the Disease: Holistic Dermatology Can Benefit
Abstract
Holistic or integrative medicine bases its evaluation on the understanding that individuals have exclusive receptivity and vulnerability to expedite cures or augment disease. Integrative medicine assesses the response to treatment based on the impact of care on patients. Holistic dermatology, as practised now, mainly focuses on chronic care and those patients who move to chronic conditions after very satisfying acute care provided by mainstream biomedicine.
